Chiropractic Care in Spring Lake MichiganCHIROPRACTIC TESTIMONIALS

SCOLIOSIS CARE
Dr. Griswold has post graduate training from the International Scoliosis Institute. He was Trained by it’s founder, Dr. Mawhiney. A thorough evaluation of the spine is performed using special x-rays designed by the scoliosis institute. Films are obtained first with the patient standing, under normal weight bearing, then hanging under traction. This effectively removes the effects of gravity on the curvatures. There will be a marked difference in the curves from one set of films to the next.

The care recommended by the institute results in an 80% reduction of difference of the two x-rays in most cases. This care involves specific techniques, heel lifts, home exercises and altered activities. The satisfaction of a child not having to wear a clamshell brace or worse, having to undergo surgery to place Herrington rods in the spine is amazing to see.
